There’s a lot of great features to Google+ Hangouts, but if you’re finding yourself receiving hangout requests from complete strangers, there’s a very simple fix for that. Go to hangouts.google.com and click the hamburger menu in the top left-hand corner. Go to Settings > Customize Invite Settings. There are two options to choose from – the Recommended settings which would allow people in your circles, people with your phone number, or email address to contact you directly.
