Windows’ default Notepad, while not rolling in features by any means, does have a few useful applications, such as stripping text formatting. You might also use it when creating a batch file or applying a Registry fix, perhaps from an article you read to fix an issue. If you haven’t completely ditched Notepad for an alternative, you’ll be happy to know you can easily reset the app’s settings to default if you want a clean start.
