Microsoft has ditched the classic vertical volume slider for a basic horizontal version. But you can still get the old one back! Click on Start > All Apps > Windows System > Run to open the Run dialog. There, type in regedit and hit Enter to open the Registry Editor. Navigate to the registry key located at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows NT \ CurrentVersion and look for the key named MTCUVC. Can’t find the MTCUVC entry? No problem!
