HitchBOT – housed in a bucket and equipped mainly with the ability to ask nicely for a ride – managed to hitch-hike 6000 kilometers, across Canada, in under a month. Not bad, considering she doesn’t have any way to move without help from humans. This little robot brings to mind a lot of big ideas.
